5 Day Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
After breakfast, we go gorilla trekking! Depending on which group of gorillas you are going to visit, you have to drive a bit more or you start from the village. Here the guides will be waiting for you and after an explanation of the rules of conduct, you will leave for the gorillas. Sometimes you have to walk for hours, sometimes the group is very close. You can bring a porter to help you and that’s definitely recommended!
The path goes uphill, downhill, under low-hanging branches, and sometimes over slippery paths, it is all worth it. The guide will take you to the place where the gorillas were the day before. They don’t move quickly and their excrement and cut branches show you the way. The tension rises and the moment you see the group you are silent… it is so special to be able to see a gorilla family. The male ‘the silverback’, the females, children, and little ones …You stay with the group for a maximum of 1 hour. Then you return to the lodge and enjoy.
