Description
Stone Town is a city of prominent historical and artistic importance in East Africa. Its architecture, mostly dating back to the 19th century, reflects the diverse influences underlying the Swahili culture, giving a unique mixture of Arab, Persian, Indian and European elements. For this reason, the town was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000.
The tour will start on the old slave Market site (Anglican Church) through the narrow streets, the next stop will be at City Market where you could see the local Fishes and fruits Market, Palace Museum, House of wonder, which is the largest and tallest building in Stone Town a.k.a. Bait -al- Ajab, an Old fort, Tippu Tip, and Freddie’s Mercury’s House. A chance to visit the Peace memorial and Natural History Museum and many more.
1 Day:
Transfer from airport to Stone Town, check-in at the hotel. In the evening have a traditional Swahili dinner in Stone town (the heart of Zanzibar).
2 Day:
Morning at 09:00am proceed to Nakupenda sandbank. At 02:00pm trip to Spice Tour on this tour you will see and taste the tropical fruits, spices plantation or plots in the island. A variety of spices plants used as ornament, medicines, flowers, fruits and another interesting flora can be seen during spice tour and visit to Kidichi bath built in 1850 by the first Sultan for his wife Sheharzad (granddaughter of Fateh Ali Shah of Persia and back to town for dinner and Overnight at your accommodations.
3 Day:
The Half Day relaxing and enjoy the beach or do a short stone town tour and shopping on afternoon back to your accommodation.
